Rolex Daytona ref 116500 (2019) was the first stainless steel model in the series to sport a ceramic bezel when it was released in 2016.  It was a highly anticipated model and quickly garnered a massive following among passionate collectors, often commanding years-long wait lists to purchase one at retail. The reference 116500 was recently discontinued to make way for the current production generation, which now sports a ceramic bezel trimmed in steel.  Many collectors are still after this model because of its distinctive aesthetic and place in Rolex's history. Not to mention, it offers collectors a lot of value for a steel Rolex chronograph with a ceramic bezel because it currently trades hands for less than its successor on the pre-owned market.  We have a striking example for sale here that was produced just last year with a black dial, Chromalight, and the caliber 4130.
